Neuse Basin District on Social Media

If it wasn't for social media, a lot of people wouldn't stay connected, a lot of businesses wouldn't have the customer base they currently have, and a lot of companies wouldn't have brand awareness. This is why Neuse Basin District is expanding to Facebook, Google+, Twitter, and Pinterest as part of its online web presence campaign.

One may ask, "What's the point?"

The point is we no long live in a time of telephones, telegraphs, or the pony express being our only forms of communication. The world is connected digitally, by computers, by smart phones, by tablets; people disseminate information by the transmission of 1's & 0;'s through the air and over wires at lightning speeds. In order to keep up with the demand for quicker information, Neuse Basin had to change its approach for the benefit of its leaders and its scouts.

With this shift there will be some growing pains as well as some challenges. Our hope at NBD is to have all the kinks worked out during the summer in time for the next scouting year, starting in the fall. Please stay tuned for more to come. We will strive hard to create the most up-to-date content and information for all involved. Please feel free to post any comments or suggestions to this post. We can only make things better through input by our scouters.
