The monthly
Commissioner meeting was held at 7:00, July 23, at Faith Youth Ministry Building
with the following attending:

Len welcomed everyone present.
He talked about his trip to Philmont and the courses he took there; also
he related that 28,000 acres burned at Philmont, but nobody was hurt.

Ken started the opening with
prayer and then read an e-mail he received titled “What is a Military family
worth?” Everyone wanted a copy
and he promised to e-mail it to Len.
3.
Len wanted to recognize Joanne
Koonce, our newest Commissioner, but she was absent.
4.
Commissioner Training Topic was
“Extravaganza”, taught by Darlene. She
went through the list of things that go in the envelopes to be handed out at
Camp Bonner and to find out who was responsible for what.
On August 8th we will get a tent, tables and six chairs from
St. Andrew and take to Bonner.
We need all available Commissioners to
help. Let Darlene know if you are coming
so she can make plans. Also,
let Council
know by August 1 if you are
coming so they
will know how much to cook.
Units need to sign up for
popcorn!!!

Jae will contact the new Pastor about Pack 231.
Len has not seen any paperwork on 720 or 2500.

Brian wanted to know if we are
assigning a commissioner for Roundup. The
answer was yes. Darlene had a list
of schools and Commissioners were assigned to most of them.

Announcements.
The next meeting will be August 20.
Darlene will have the opening, Ken the closing and Jimmy Shine the
refreshments. Commissioner training
topic will be Scout Fest – taught by Len.
9.
Closing.
Commissioners meetings will open and close with duty to God and then to
country from now on.
