Before You Start:
Be dressed in Class A uniform for the District project review.
˙ Has used the Eagle Scout Leadership Service Project Workbook (workbook #18-927D).
› Has discussed the project with the unit leader, benefiting organization, & unit committee representative.
Has the signature of the authorized representative of the organization that will benefit (workbook page 9).
Has the signature of the Scoutmaster or the Troop’s Eagle Rank Advisor (workbook page 9).
› Has the signature of the Troop’s Unit Committee representative (workbook page 9).
› Has completed all the planning details in the workbook through page 9.
› Has the project has been clearly described.
› Does the religious institution, school, or community that will benefit qualify?
› Will someone indirectly benefit, if so, who? _________________________________________
› Has a complete description of benefit been provided to the group identified?
› Has page 5 of the workbook been completed?
› Have the present conditions been described? (sketches, drawings, maps, pictures, etc.
› Have the methods to execute the proposed project been clearly described? (Describe how the project will be organized and how will leadership be demonstrated.)
› Have the materials to be used been described? (Provide a complete breakdown of materials & quantities, cost of materials, place where materials will be secured, and how will the project be funded.)
› Have resources to complete the project been identified? (Provide a list of resources, such as transportation, tools, electricity, etc., that will be required as well as a list of how each resource will be secured, such as by Scout, Troop, friends, parents, benefiting group, etc.)
› Have workers been identified that will help with the project? (Provide a list of workers who have agreed to help and a schedule of help required based on the workload demand. What resources were used to solicit help, such as troop, school, friends, family, benefiting group?)
› Has a project schedule been provided? (Provide the dates for working on the project…..dates need to be realistic. Provide a contingency plan in the event the original schedule does not work out due to weather, sickness, material helper availability, etc.)
› Have safety issues been addressed? (Identify hazards associated with the worksite, materials, tools, weather, etc. and how the identified hazards will be minimized. Provide contact information for emergency services and the plan of action for first aid in the event of an accident.)
› Have food and sanitary issues been addressed? (How and who will provide food and water. Will restrooms and wash facilities be required, if so, where are they.)
› Project Approved (The Scout may proceed with the "Carrying Out of The Project".)
› Project Approved With Conditions (The Scout may proceed with the "Carrying Out of The Project" in strict accordance with the conditions attached hereto.)
› Project Disapproved (The Scout may not proceed with the "Carrying Out of The Project". An explanation for disapproval is attached hereto. The Scout must reschedule a project review meeting with an authorized District Review Representative once the project has been modified.)
